Doran Precision Engineering Ltd started as a small family run business with an emphasis on delivering high precision components to customer requirements at competitive prices. The friendly atmosphere, and core values that helped make Doran Precision Engineering a success then endure to this day and are at the centre of what we do every day.
Specialising in the manufacture of precision components for the aerospace, medical and motor-sport industries, Doran Precision Engineering Ltd deliver the high standard expected in today’s competitive market and offer batch production work, rapid response and rework services.

Company started in small shed at family home with 2 men and 2 lathes
1996

Plot of land purchased to build approx. 1500 sq. ft purpose-built workshop
1998
12th November 1993
Expanded capability with the purchase of 3 Fadal CNC machines, headcount increased to 4
2003
12th November 1993
Purchased new 4000 sq. ft premises on the Dundrum Road, Newcastle County Down. Invested £100k in 6 additional 3 axis CNC machines. Headcount increased to 7.
2007

Expanded into a second unit in Newcastle Business Park to accommodate for increasing number of machines

QMS is certified as compliant to the requirements of ISO9001.
2011

Purchased first Haas machining centre capable of machining a billet 2m x 1m x 0.7m
2015

Expansion and growth continues with the purchase of a third unit and 4 HAAS CNC machines
2016

Sponsored by B/E Aerospace, Doran Precision Engineering achieve recognition to SC21 Bronze with confirmed OTD >90%, and Quality >98%
2018

Doran Precision Engineering becomes a Ltd company and achieves AS9100 in July of 2018. DPE Ltd currently utilise 26 CNC 3-axis machines, 3 x 5 axis UMC’s, and employ 18 people
